Armillaria ostoyae, also known daily as the honey mushroom, is larger than both whales and elephants and is considered the largest and oldest organism on Earth. The largest one ever discovered by humans grows in the Malheur National Forest in Oregon, USA. It covers an area of 3726563 square meters (about 700m in diameter) and is estimated to be 8650 years old.
People are in the United States, Oregon Malool National Forest found it, where a variety of lush trees, but later people found a strange phenomenon, the trees inside has been constantly dying, and also unnatural death, people took a lot of measures have not been able to stop the trees die, but in the place where the trees died but found mushrooms, the roots of each dead tree have fungus.
People then realized that the death of these trees was caused by these mushrooms, in order to figure out where these mushrooms actually came from, people finally found the largest living organism known in the world, it is not only a thousand-year-old mushroom, or a very dangerous forest killer, in the middle of the woods, its roots buried deep underground, while the surface of the land presented a golden mushroom.
Through DNA analysis, they found that the mushroom at their feet and other mushrooms at a great distance, have the same DNA. scientists believe that if an organism has the same DNA and has cells that can communicate with each other, then it is an organism. Following this method, the scientists took step-by-step measurements and discovered a surprising fact: the "mushroom" in Oregon is incredibly large. It covers an area of 2,384 acres, or 9.6 square kilometers, or 9.6 million square meters.
The way it grows and expands is to spread to a tree, and then after the tree's nutrients are drained, it will move to another tree, and it is entangled in the tree, whether it is large or small, eventually it will not escape a death, it is like a realistic version of the vampire.
